Maya has written the evening in advance. In an apartment that rises floor by floor, a man plays the part she wrote for him — and sometimes stops being able to.

One man is played by two actors: Thomas when the performance holds, Julien when the truth breaks through. The apartment is vertical; where the characters stand tells you how the evening is going. The tell is never in the dialogue — it’s a hand held one second too long.
